Bug Description
I have just installed fresh ubuntu 12.04 (64bit) + Gnome-Shell + FGFS on a new ASUS P8Z77-VLX motherboard with Intel I7 3770K CPU and 16GB of ram.
When Starting fgfs with the default preferences.xml file, it starts and work but only utilizing one thread out of the eight CPU threads.
But after I enabled multithreading-mode in the preferences.xml file and set it as follows:
<multithreading
or as :
<multithreading
FlightGear would start and a while after showing the cockpit the whole system freezes!!!
I can't even switch to the terminal (by pressing CNTL+ F1) to reboot!!
I have to either press the reset or power off buton and restart the system.
I am still in the process of diagnosing this problem, but if someone out there that can confirm this bug or have a solution, then please do not hesitate to assist.
Thanks
An Update: mode, and now FGFS is causing the system to Freeze as well !
I disabled Multithreading-
So it seems the freezing of the system is not related to the state of the multithreading-mode after all!
