Bug Description

Binary package hint: ffmpeg2theora

The ffmpeg2theora (0.19-1) command has just given me this error message, amongst others:

“mdb:43, lastbuf:0 skiping granule 0”

What I'm reporting is “skiping”, which is presumably supposed to be “skipping”.

It would be good if the rest of it could be made more informative (what is “mdb”? and does “lastbuf” mean “last buffer”?), but that's not the focus of this bug report.

Thanks.

Is this still occurring on Ubuntu 10.10 "Maverick Meerkat" with ffmpeg2theora 0.24-2build3 ?

I don’t know; I’d have to provoke an error. I reported this two years ago; I can’t remember exactly what I was doing at the time.

Can’t you just do a search for ‘skiping’ in the source code?

It should be possible, but I'm not a developer and have never looked at any source code. In fact I barely know how to obtain an application's source code.

Lets leave this for someone else to check.
