pager segfaults when DeVeDe changes to template window

Binary package hint: fbpager

fbpager as installed from 9.10 daily alternate -- following mostly the Forums "minimal" install procedure ; cli, then fluxbox, xdm, gxine, firefox, and after a lot of customizing fluxbox, DeVeDe.

lsb_release -rd is Karmic Development

fbpagerrc was set for vertical, 4 workspaces, no icons.

Invoked devede from fluxbox "run command" box, and the DeVeDe window with 6 DVD types to select from
would appear.
Selected Video CD ( top selection for play-it-on-my-TV-attached-player ) and DeVeDe would switch to the
template (construction) dialog, and fbpager disappears.

dmesg has "fbpager: segmentation fault" as the last entry.
ABSOLUTELY repeatable.

one rather small additional -- when fbpager is vertical, first window is left of the bottom three by 1 pixel. Am not sure whether fluxbox is misdrawing or is a size calculation bug in fbpager.

System is an HP G70 laptop -- T6500, 3 GB, 17" Intel 4500 driven screen. SO used amd-64 version of Karmic.
