It would be good if removable-device-manager could use f-spot to import photo directly.

This isn't an f-spot bug, as f-spot already can import photos directly, with the --import flag. If you wanted this change to be made by default, it'd be something to sort with the desktop team, and f-spot would have to be promoted to main & the desktop seed.

Could f-spot not add an option to the drop down list of the device manager so that you could choose it if it was installed?

Right, this'll be in 0.1.10 which will be released upstream soon. Hopefully it can get into dapper
