Bug Description
Binary package hint: f-spot
The sidebar in F-Spot is enabled by default, but is not visible. You have to drag it across to see it properly. But you would only know to do this if you know what the sidebar is.
This needs resizing by default so a new user can see it straight away

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and help make Ubuntu better. However, I can't recreate your problem. Could you please try this with a fresh user profile? To do this, either create a new user, or you can use the live CD (which would be the better option).
Could you also specify which version of F-Spot and Ubuntu you are using. To do this, please post the output of the following:
lsb_release -rd
apt-cache policy f-spot
Thanks in advance.
