Bug Description

Binary package hint: f-spot

When first starting F-Spot, the user is presented with an ugly window size that does not show all important information at once. F-Spot should adjust it's size to fit all necessary information (or as much as they user's resolution can handle). Screenshots of the original size and attempts to improve it are included below.

I couldn't reproduce it with 0.4.1-1. I tried temporarily deleting F-Spot settings, and then it started maximized.

Does this bug still occur with that version?

I was about to open this exact bug. I'm getting a very small window after first launching f-spot on a fresh intrepid install. The version is 0.4.4.

I still have this problem in Hardy, and I don't have a gnome account to file a report. Why was this closed exactly?

This is no longer a problem with the new default window/tag structure in Intrepid. Although it doesn't show by default (Bug #286490), the problem would not exist if a user expanded the sidebar.
