As f-spot is quite a complex program, with lots of unmanaged code, gtk# etc. I'm not 100% sure this is a mono runtime problem. Anyways, there were some additional
fixes in the shutdown code after 1.9, so the situation will hopefully
improve when mono 2.0 is out:
