feisty f-spot hangs

Bug Description
Binary package hint: f-spot
f-spot hangs randomly when I try to quit, only reset button helps.
gdb 2>&1 | tee gdb-fspot.txt
(gdb) handle SIG33 pass nostop noprint
(gdb) set pagination 0
(gdb) attach 6184
when I try to make a backtrace, just after the attach command f-spot freezes and I have kill it.

I've tried to comment out glx in the xorg.conf, no help. so this is not a display adapter problem (via k8m800).
in dapper and edgy I had no problems.
maybe this bug have something to do with https:/ /bugs.launchpad .net/ubuntu/ +source/ f-spot/ +bug/104372
