Bug Description
When I'm trying to open a file location from some programs, I'm getting an error. French and Russian symbols are not supported in exo-utils 0.10.6.-1 — only pure-English symbols are working ("Failed to open URI..."). I tried it in QBitTorrent and XnViewMP. In exo .10.2.-3 — all right.

Hi, e/Vidéos/ Université/ Veille/ 2010-08- 15_Perrier, la rumeur, c’est fou.mp3
I have the same annoying bug on my Linux Mint 17.2 XFCE with french characters (é, è, à...). It is a very very annoying bug. For example when I want to launch an audio files through Impress (LibreOffice), it's no more possible :
This original path :
/home/christoph
becomes :
Cannot translate URI reference to external format: file:// /home/christoph e/Vid%C3% A9os/Universit% C3%A9/Veille/ 2010-08- 15_Perrier, %20la%20rumeur, %20c%E2% 80%99est% 20fou.mp3
To sum up, impossible to launch my audio files this way.
This bug seems to be only on the last Linux Mint 17.2 XFCE (new version of exo). Not appears on Linux XFCE 17.1 or prior.
Please, can you fix it !
Thanks
