Bug Description
I attach the most recent crash log from evolution. This error occurred while removing the multiple Easter 2012 appointments that I showed in the picture for closed invalid case

(see, probably, the penultimate post to that thread.)
I have no assurance that thunderbird works better. Why invest the time?

Let's dispel the notion that my computer is overtaxed and this could be causing the problem.
Free space on disk: 0.1 TByte That's 100 giga bytes. That's a lot of available space.
Attached is a snap shot of system monitor. The long network peak indicates where the crash file or core dump or whatnot was uploaded to launchpad. The snap shot is quite typical. Two fast cpu cores. No big delays. A whole lot of available RAM.
