Evolution is able to receive emails but not able to send them

I use Ubuntu 11.10 and Evolution 3.2.1
I dont got any problems with receiving emails but only with sending them.
It says this: Could not connect to smtp.live.com: Connection timed out.
 I use hotmail.de and live.com as providers.

Actually I think I just solved my problem. I changed the type of encryption for the outgoing server from SSl to TLS and now it seems that it works:P I am sorry if I created any troube with my "bug-report".
