evolution crashes out every time when i check for "remove duplicate mails" in my inbox

Rest all operations are fine. I am not able to remove duplicate mails present in my inbox. When i try to save my inbox as mbox file, it keeps on storing data for tens of gb whereas my total inbox file is only 5 Gb.
