Evolution takes7-10 secs to close, sometimes dims screen

When done with evolution, and closing, app takes almost 10 seconds to close. In some cases, if any other apps are running (ie Firefox), screen will dim for 10-30 seconds, sometimes longer, then closes. All mail has already been recieved.
