Messages don't properly get marked as read

This report has the same description as #672733, but I don't buy into the developers explanation that it's working as it should. In previous versions of Evolution, if you clicked on a folder in the left-hand pane, and the first message in the list was unread, and it displayed that message's text, it WOULD then properly mark that message as read. Now, you mush manually mark the displayed message as read. This only occurs on the first unread message when selecting a different mail folder.
