Bug Description

on the first launch of evolution after upgrading to ubuntu 11.10 a dialog informs the user that they need to migrate to mailboxes. after allowing this evolution though for a while, and then closed (not sure if it crashed, or decided that it was done).

this migration was incomplete. my old mailbox has 4294 messages, but the new one has only 401 (interestingly it claims to have more unread than total, 440).

Sam,

What protocol is being used for this account? Is it POP, IMAP, or another (pure mbox, etc.)

Hi,

I think the original poster also wanted to know how to re-start
the migration from mbox to maildir .

Yours,
Steffen

BTW, also have an incomplete migration here, and need to find out how to restart

I think user 'toda' has been making some changes that they may not understand. I don't know any reason to think this report should be marked Incomplete. I'm changing it back to Confirmed. Thanks.

@sam, are you still stuck with an incomplete import?

I'm not actually sure how restarting the migration would be done. There may be details about it in evolution --help; and I know there was a --disable-migration switch at some point. I think the best course of action might be, if there was a backup, to import it explicitly from evolution's Import option.
