Bug Description

Since I upgraded to Oneiric, my Google contacts stopped working. I can see my google address book in the list, but it's empty: no contacts. I tried to re-create it but I can't even remove it. I created a new google address book but the new one doesn't work better than the old one.

OK, it seems it's quite random: my google calendar still work, but my contacts have stopped working again.

I removed ~/.cache/evolution/addressbook/google_XXX directory and my contacts came back again.

I was unable to access my contacts after upgrading and this solved my problem. In my case, even after disabling my Online Google Account (which adds a second Google Contacts to evolution) I could not remove my old Google contacts. I turned off all the options (birthdays, offline sync, default, autocomplete) and it gave me an error that it could not be removed. After removing the cache, I can now delete this old Google Contacts addressbook and switch over to the one created by the Online Account feature.

By the way, I report the fact that they are read-only in bug #845103.
