Bug Description

Binary package hint: evolution

Until I upgraded to Natty, was able to start Evolution from my keyboard. Now, only able to do so after I started Evolution from Unity. Via "Applications". When the E-MAIL key is pressed after log-in, Evolution doesn't load as expected. Would it be possible to start Evolution straight after log-in from keyboard again?

Not a driver bug, guessing something wrong with the .desktop file, or gnome itself.

Does anything come up in .xsession-errors when you just press the EMail button? If there's nothing, then it's most likely not an issue in evolution but in defined keyboard shortcuts...

Hello
keeping the terminal open with top running if I press the mail key I can see the evolution process starting, still active for few seconds, then it vanish.
All is ok if I launch evolution from the mail menu in notify area or by terminal

I've thinked to modify gnome-keybinding-properties to point the mail key to the dbg script that start evolution-bdg, but I don't know how to open and modify gnome-keybinding-properties file.
Thanks

This bug isn't reproducible in Oneiric with Thunderbird, so I think that is a bug in Evolution.

Same here, either on natty fresh install and 10.10 upgrade.
In 10.10 the mail key works fine.
