Caret Modes causes cursor location problem within an e-mail

Bug Description

If Caret Mode is enabled, all incoming e-mails are "scrolled" to the end - with the cursor placed there - by default.

When not in Cater Mode, the cursor seems to be at the top of the e-mail (as expected).

This also happens if HTTP links in an open e-mail are selected, the e-mail scrolls from the selected link to the previous cursor position in Caret Mode (instead of placing the cursor at the just selected link) - this is very (very!) annoying.
