Bug Description

Binary package hint: evolution

In Maverick the preferences dialog does not fit in the space available on a 1280x800 desktop, and it cannot be resized.

Indeed. With the stock theme on a brand new laptop (not netbook) I can't even see the close button.

Changed in evolution (Ubuntu):
status: New → Confirmed

Can't you just do something to GTK to prevent applications from spawning dialogues bigger than the screen?
Or is there some technical reason not to do this? (political reasons don't count!)
