stuck at "CalDAV Eplugin starting up..."

Starting Evolution, using normally.
Closing Evolution
Trying to start Evolution again:

CalDAV Eplugin starting up ...

And it won't go any further...

I just had the same problem.
I could solve it by running "/usr/bin/evolution --force-shutdown".

strace log included.
