Bug Description

Binary package hint: evolution

Using Jaunty 64bit and Evolution 2.26.1

Expunging Junk folder removes all mail (junk and non-junk) in deleted items while retaining junk in junk folder. As a result I lost all my deleted items even though warning says 'all junk in deleted items' will be deleted. Bad bad bad...

I have reported this as a new bug because last report was a couple of years ago and ticket was closed. This should really be fixed soon.

How can the importance of this be 'Low'? People are losing (or have lost) mail as a result. I can no longer advise customers to use Evolution as an alternative to Outlook because of this not being fixed. This bug has been around for years, and nothing has been done. Things like this make Linux evangelists look bad.
