Bug Description

Binary package hint: evolution

If set a message filter to move some messages to an IMAP folder (not a local folder), I get an error and the messages are not moved.

The error dialog says: "Erro Filtrar mensagens selecionadas. Não foi possível obter a pasta "INBOX/Newsletters": pasta não existe." In english this would mean: "Error filtering selected messages. It was not possible to obtain the folder "INBOX/Newsletters": The folder does not exists".

The folder exists, otherwise I would not have managed to select it while creating the message filter. Also, I can manually drag the messages from other folders to this folders normally w2ithout seeing this error dialog.

Thanks.

Hi,
I can confirm that bug using IMAP filter on evolution having the same Ubuntu and evolution version.
The only difference from this is that the error it's clear if I start evolution from terminal :

evolution-mail-Message: Error occurred while existing dialogue active:
Impossibile ottenere la cartella «ALID-cd»: la cartella non esiste.
evolution-mail-Message: Error occurred while existing dialogue active:
Impossibile ottenere la cartella «tp»: la cartella non esiste.

la cartella non esiste means : the folder it's not existing

Thanks
Stblack

Thank you for reporting this bug and helping make Ubuntu better. I am marking this bug as a duplicate of bug 303528. Upstream has already been fixed for both 2.24 and trunk, and we should be getting the fix for Intrepid on the new 2.24 upstream intends to release soon.

Please add comments on the bug 303528.

Effenberg0x0: BTW... we do not look at PPA releases (yes, I know, this specific one is mine ;-) On this case, I *know* this was not fixed there, since I cherry-picked only two patches for the PPA.

Currently, the bypass for this issue is described in the master bug.
