Evolution 2.12 doesn't allow defining the appearance

Currently Evolution calendar is doesn't show enough information for each day in the Monthly view. It would be better if I could choose the number of weeks to display (such as 4 instead of the current 6), and also suppress the icons displayed in each day.

I don't see any way to used the calendar preferences to get more information to show.

This bug did not have a package associated with it, which is important for ensuring that it gets looked at by the proper developers. For future reference you might be interested to know that a lot of applications have bug reporting functionality built in to them. This can be accessed via the Report a Problem option in the Help menu for the application with which you are having an issue. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue for you. Can you try with the latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.

I now have Evolution 2.24.2 which I believe is the most recent version, and Ubuntu 8.10. The problem still exists.
     A reasonable solution would be to change the interface to allow a person to choose the number of weeks to be shown, in a window similar to the current "month" view. Sunbird has this as a "multi-week view" and allows the user to choose the number of weeks to be shown.
     It would also be helpful if I prevent the various event icons being displayed in each day of the month view. They squeeze out the useful information I enter about the event. I didn't see any way to do that either.
