Bug Description

This is basically the discussion here:
http://lists.gnupg.org/pipermail/gnupg-devel/2003-December/020643.html
disabling use-agent in ~/.gnupg/gpg.conf make evo work again.
Perhaps gnupg should be used with --no-use-agent from evolution, as suggested in
the thread?

Thanks for your bug. This mail is from one of the evolution hackers. What
version of Ubuntu do you use? Could you describe what is your issue exactly?

I'm using ubuntu/breezy with latest evolution: 2.3.8-0ubuntu2
When I start gnupg-agent and enable it in ~/.gnupg/gpg.conf, then the agent
inside evolution fails with an error message.
I cannot check that right now, will report that later, but IIRC it fails because
of 'wrong' passphrase instead of asking
my passphrase.

Ideally, Evolution would integrate correctly with gnupg-agent and won't get
confused about this. As a workaround, Evolution could start gnupg with option
--no-use-agent, in which case the user would have 2 agents: one of evo and one
for other applications.

In the meantime, I switched to seahorse. With seahorse, evolution works nicely.

Hmm, I have no problem at all with the combination gpg-agent / pinentry-gtk2 /
evolution
