Bug Description

when i try to add a new mail account, evolution crashes when i choose the type
of server from the drop down list, it segfaults calling libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0, and
i get this messages:

(evolution:20080): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_widget_hide: assertion `GTK_IS_WIDGET
(widget)' failed

(evolution:20080): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_widget_hide: assertion `GTK_IS_WIDGET
(widget)' failed

(evolution:20080): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_entry_set_text: assertion `text != NULL'
failed

i'm using standard gtk and evolution packages from hoary. tried to recompile
evolution as well, but no chance.

Where do you click exactly? When does it crash? Could you get a backtrace of the
crash (you can get it from the dialog to send the bug upstream)?

It happens when i choose a type of server from mail receiving dialog, second
step of adding an account.
There's a drop down list, and as soon as i click on one of the choices (
whatever i choose: "imap", "pop" ... doesn't matter )
evolution segfaults.
bug-buddy got stuck in some never-ending 99% cpu activity, so i ran
gdb from command line, and this is what i get (just deleted some 'no debugging
symbols found' statements). hope it helps, i don't know much about debuggers:

(gdb) run /usr/bin/evolution
Starting program: /usr/bin/evolution /usr/bin/evolution

thanks. What packages have you upgraded to get this bug? An upgrade should not
break anything

I had to downgrade libglib2.0-0 to hoary version. Somehow i had problems with
combobox in gtk2.0.
Actually i first tried to upgrade libgtk2.0 to breezy version, but the problem
was still there.
Downgrading libglib2.0 solved it.
