Bug Description

the last line of debian/rules in the ubuntu package of evolution
2.2.1.1-0ubuntu4 has "--enable-plugins", which is completely useless and doesnt
build any of the plugins. for plugins to be built, it needs to be changed to
"--enable-plugins=all", which is what debian stock has.

what package are you using? Can you do a "dpkc -c <file>.deb". The archive one
has all these files here

it's not about having all the files. the way you have it now, it will install
the plugins into /usr/lib/evolution/2.2/plugins/ , however, they will not be
*enabled* and thus useless to the user. for them to be *active*, you need to
change --enable-plugins to --enable-plugins=all

works fine for me. The tools menu has a list of the differents plugins and
activating some change evolution menus/actions/... as expected.

What pluging are you trying to use and what error do you get?

the reason i even started looking for them was for the save-attachments plugin.
none of the plugins showed up for me in the tools menu, etc, until i compiled
it myself and changed that line. if the package is working as is for everyone
else, then, i really dont know what's going on. could you do me a favor and see
if they still show up for you with a new user (no configs to change default
behavior)? and which version are you using? 2.2.1.1-0ubuntu4?
