Bug Description

The latest Evolution in Hoary does not filter the junk mail. I am experimenting
with switching to Evolution from the Mozilla mail program, so I am a bit
inexperienced with Evolution.

I've had Evolution installed for a few weeks now and wondered if it needed a few
days of training before it automatically filtered out the junk messages. Now
I've read I need the spamassassin package installed, and/or possibly the spamc
package?

I've installed these additional packages from Universe, but nothing seems to
have changed.

I'm not sure if this bug should be that it doesn't work, or there is simply no
information on how to make it work? It would seem that
no-junk-filtering-by-default is a bug for a modern desktop environment. I'd like
to stick with the gnome default mail reader for its integration, but I cannot
continue to manually filter the hundreds of junk messages I get per day.

right, evolution uses spamassasion/spamc. Do you have the spam checking option
running in the preferences ?
