Cursor movement in evolution is weird

Unfortunately I am not completely able to put my finger on WHEN this is
happening, but often when composing a new message in evolution, the up or back
arrow causes to move the cursor up a whole paragraph rather than a single line.
Often this doesn't happen, making the cursor movement very unpredictable. Sorry
I can't figure out why this is happening.

correction: this problem is with the back arror, not the up arrow.

are you using warty or hoary ? is that with html or text mails ? what locale are
you using ?

Actually I can't reproduce this bug on a fresh user account. must be something
gone wrong in my ~/.evolution, caused by transporting it from a backup.
