Bug Description
Evolution 3.6.0 which is installed on quantal is a real pain in the ass. I constantly have to kill -9 the process to use it again, and the multiple signatures bug is just annoying.
Now I downloaded the 3.6.2 versions of
libebackend-1.2-5
libebook-1.2-14
libedataserveru
libedataserver-
libecal-1.2-15
libevolution
libcamel-1.2-40
evolution-
evolution-
evolution-common
evolution-
evolution-plugins
and of course: evolution
(and also libxml2 2.9.0)
from the raring repositories and installed it with dpkg -i *.deb.
Now my evolution works like a charm and it didn't break any dependencies.
It wouldn't hurt backporting these packages to quantal, so all quantal user would have a working evolution again.
Yes please. I am also running into the double signature bug, and would like to upgrade to evolution 3.6.2. Adding it to quantal-backports would be great!
