evolution-rss-plugin not activatable in evolution

I installed evolution with the rss-plugin on my new installed Ubuntu 14.04. I cannot activate it as plugin in the plugin menu. Is there a package missing?

I tried to run it in terminal as 'evolution-import-rss' with the following output:

Does somebody know if there is already an update available on github or something?

An update from github isn't needed I think. If you just compile the module on 14.04 it works fine. I suspect this hasn't been recompiled in a while and some function it was compiled against has been removed now.

I confirm that this bug exists on Ubuntu 14.04. The plugin is not activable.

Also the compilation of the module as suggested by fuielrod does not work because the plugin terminates with the following error:

The required devel files and libraries for evolution have been loaded. Then why this message?

This doesn't work on my machine either running Ubuntu 14.04 and evolution-rss 0.3.93.
