Bug Description

Binary package hint: evolution-mapi

Just upgraded to 11.04 from 10.10 which includes evolution 2.32.2-0ubuntu7 and evolution-mapi 0.32.2-0ubuntu1. After the upgrade evolution couldn't sign in with the exchange server (through MAPI) with the same user credentials ("Failed to login into server" error which corresponds to MAPI_E_LOGON_FAILED message from server). Other exchange clients (my iPhone, webclient access, Win Outlook) can still login using the same information.

I deleted my account and re-added it with same results. Completely removed and re-installed evolution and all its necessary packages to no avail.

Is it just me experiencing this?

This affects me too. There is a different error on stdout if I run evolution from there:

  Failed to bind to uuid f5cc5a18-4264-101a-8c59-08002b2f8426 - NT_STATUS_NET_WRITE_FAULT

 if I set up my exchange account with evolution-settings, I get yet another error; this time, the same error appears on both stdout and on the login dialog.

  (evolution-settings:10878): libexchangemapi-CRITICAL **: file exchange-mapi-connection.c: line 367 (exchange_mapi_connection_new): assertion `profile != NULL' failed

Apparently, this issue comes up again when updating to 12.04 (from 11.10) - see https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evolution-mapi/+bug/1005925
