Bug Description

Unlike other mail notification programs which show the most recent unread messages, even if they are weeks old, the Systray Notification Icon only identifies mail received during the current session as unread, so I keep Evolution open to receive notification of new mail via Systray but I use my browser to actually read my mail.
Once I have read any new mail via the browser, it's status is properly updated in Evolution when syncing occurs. However the systray icon remains green.

Brief description of the steps I follow.
1. I sent myself a test mail. Evolution showed an unread message. Systray Icon turned green, text notification said '1 New message'.
2. I accessed the mail via browser. Evolution updated to show the mail as read. Systray Icon remained green.
3. I sent a new mail to myself. Evolution showed 1 unread message. Systray Icon is green and text notification said '2 New messages'

Of course, if the mail in question is accessed via Evolution or if Evolution is activated by clicking on the icon, the Systray icon returns to white.

I was wondering if the icon should also turn white whenever Evolution updates itself ? Could this be done without changing the present behavior of Systray Icon regarding unread mail from prior sessions?

Thank you for all the great work that your team has done with Evolution.

I have the same behavior. Evolution doesn't update Indicator Applet about read messages.
And if I delete message without reading, this action have no reflection at Indicator Applet.
