Bug Description

Binary package hint: evolution

Since upgrading to Maverick, my exchange mailbox will not open using evolution. Have re-installed both Evolution and Evolution-exchange, and there is no difference.

Furthermore, if I de-activate the account and try to create a new one, the program crashes on exiting the Evolution Preferences.

In my case, evolution-exchange mail does not work, but contacts, calendar and tasks do. evolution-mapi email works, but does not do public folders for contacts or calendar. Currently a workaround is to have two accounts created, evolution-mapi for mail, evolution-exchange for everything else.

affects: evolution (Ubuntu) → evolution-exchange (Ubuntu)

Steve, The fix for bug #631395 resolved this for me, so it may be a duplicate. Not marking as such until you confirm.

I confirm that this bug is a duplicate, but nothing that I have seen or done has made anything any better. The program now crashes immediately and Bug Buddy says that it can't collect enough information.

I have had to give up trying to use Evolution, as I have a business to run, and this program is obviously not stable enough for a commercial environment!

Shame, but that's reality at present.
