Bug Description

NOTICE: Newbie debugger here, and new to Ubuntu/Debian-based distros; I'm happy
to provide any information necessary, but will likely need help getting it.

When updating folders for my Exchange account, evolution-exchange-storage
crashes with:

(evolution-exchange-storage:20123): libsoup-CRITICAL **: set_current_request:
assertion `priv->cur_req == NULL' failed

(evolution-exchange-storage:20123): libsoup-CRITICAL **: set_current_request:
assertion `priv->cur_req == NULL' failed

(evolution-exchange-storage:20123): libsoup-CRITICAL **: set_current_request:
assertion `priv->cur_req == NULL' failed

** (evolution-exchange-storage:20123): WARNING **: renew_subscription: 401
Access Denied

** (evolution-exchange-storage:20123): WARNING **: renew_subscription: 7
Connection terminated unexpectedly

Sometimes Evolution will open and operate for some time before
evolution-exchange-storage crashes with this error (Evolution reports that
connection with the backend process has been lost); Evolution has gone as long
as 30-45 minutes, updating every 1 minute, but most of the time it crashes on
opening. Search across the internet revealed a post in the Gentoo forums leading
to a bug report (http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=106019) that seemed to
indicate that the newest version of libsoup is the culprit.

This occurred previously with evolution-exchange's version 2.4.0, and continues
with today's update to 2.4.1. I have tried removing the account, deleting
~/.evolution, and re-creating the account from scratch with identical results.

I'm in the same boat. Running the following:
ii evolution 2.4.1-0ubuntu7 The groupware suite
ii evolution-data 1.4.1-0ubuntu3 evolution database backend server
ii evolution-exch 2.4.1-0ubuntu1 Exchange plugin for the Evolution groupware
ii evolution-plug 2.4.1-0ubuntu7 All bundled plugins for Evolution 2.2
ii evolution-webc 2.4.1-0ubuntu1 webcal: URL handler for GNOME and Evolution
On breezy/amd64 upgraded from Hoary.

Evolution-exchange-storage crashes fairly routinely, and after the first crash,
it will fail every time until a reboot (which might get it working for a little
while, or not).

Further, clicking the "Inform Developers" button triggers a Bug Buddy upgrade,
followed by Bug Buddy consuming tons of CPU for as long as I'm willing to put up
with it in the "Collecting Debug Info" stage. (I've let it suck up 30 minutes of
CPU time before...it never finishes.)

Sorry for the delay in replying, and thanks for the report and comments. Do you still have this problem with the latest version of Evolution, and libsoup present in Dapper?

Please let us know. If there is no issue, we can close this bug.

I installed dapper into a virtual machine and ran evolution all afternoon Friday; no crash. So, it appears to be fixed. Any chance it will be backported to Breezy?
