Bug Description

Binary package hint: evolution

When I start evolution on login (it's in my startup menu) the window opens and the first thing it does is "disconnect from Exchange server". The exchange server is the mmm.cern.ch microsoft exchange server. I have to wait (few minutes) until it is done and then click on the connection icon on the bottom left to reconnect. That then works.

If I don't wait and try to cancel the disconnection and reconnect it doesn't. The only way out then is evolution --force-shutdown and restart. Then evolution starts being already disconnected (judging from the icon) and I can reconnect.

This is new with 2.10.1. Previously I had whichever version was distributed with Edgy and I didn't get these problems.

Hi,
you might want to try/verify the following:
Go to System - Administration - Network.
Select your Wired network and click on Properties.
Uncheck the option "Enable Roaming Mode" and set your Configuration to Automatic Configuration (DHCP), or whatever you want it to.
This did the trick for me in Evolution 2.12

Arnoud Roth

No, I run hardy and don't get any of this anymore. Guess this can be closed.
