Bug Description

Binary package hint: evolution-data-server

I have hardy updated to now.

sometimes when I log in I have the process evolution-data-server-2.22 that uses all my cpu (really only 50% because of dual-core)...

I can end the process, logout and login again, all ok...

but evolution DOESN'T start if i want to use it...

in terminal I see:

camel-CRITICAL **: camel_url_new: assertion `*url_string != 0' failed
aborting...
Trace/breakpoint trap (core dumped)

thank you

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal with as a ".crash" file. Please follow these instuctions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer.

If you are using Ubuntu with the Gnome desktop environment - launch nautilus and navigate to your /var/crash directory and double click on the crash report you wish to submit.

I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more efficiently. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding.

Pedro, e-d-s doesn't crash, it just uses 100% of the CPU until killed. This bug makes a laptop almost useless as it kills the battery and keeps the fan running at max speed.

I also have this problem on a Dell Optiplex GX270 minitower PC. e-d-s will randomly decide to race the CPU just after bootup until killed. I also have not configured Evolution. Fully updated as of 4-8 10:20pm Eastern.
