Bug Description

Binary package hint: evince

In the default feisty installation, evince does not display postscript files at all. The fact that it gives no error has been reported in other bugs and fixed upstream, however the dependencies of evince are somewhat wrong: it depends on "gs-esp-x | gs" however "gs-esp" (notice, without the final "-x") provides gs. So in the default install, gs-esp is installed without gs-esp-x. BTW, I had to install kghostview to get an error, and I had to blindly try to guess from "unknown device x11" and "apt-cache search ghostview", that I had to install "gs-esp-x".

Clearly installing gs-esp-x solves the problem, I don't know if the "gs" feature is not supposed to provide x11, so that would be a bug of evince, that should tighten its dependencies, or if it is supposed to provide it, in that case the bug is in gs-esp providing gs which is wrong.
