Feature Freeze exemption:
This revision contains a patch to support multi-touch gestures using libgrip and the uTouch stack. This adds pinch to zoom, rotate, and smooth scrolling when viewing images. Due to this change, two finger scrolling on trackpads will be inverted in direction. Outside of this change, the regression risk is moderate as the patch adds new functionality to the package, and the functionality is based on a new package in Ubuntu.

libgrip-0.1-dev is in Universe. It would have to be promoted before this could be merged.

Additionally, I am concerned that adding a 600 line patch the day before beta freeze is a bit risky, even if the code appears fairly isolated.

FWIW, I agree. I thought a few weeks ago the consensus was to keep eog and evince with the modifications in a separate PPA, and settle the patches upstream in the meantime?

I already said a few weeks ago that I'd rather see this in oneiric, and being discussed upstream first. Other release team members didn't ack it either, so closing for now.
