Bug Description

Binary package hint: evince

This is with up-to-date Lucid, installed from RC.

Today I tried to open evince for the first time after installation, by opening a PDF file from a message in Evolution. Evince failed to open. I tried a few more times, then downloaded the file and tried to open it from nautilus, to no avail. Finally, I tried opening evince directly from the command line. It complained:

** (evince:20436): WARNING **: Error creating last_settings file: Error opening file '/home/pablo/.gnome2/evince/last_settings': No such file or directory

Segmentation fault

I then created the missing file with 'touch /home/pablo/.gnome2/evince/last_settings', and evince now opens normally.

The program obviously shouldn't segfault on a missing configuration file..
