Bug Description

Binary package hint: evince

Hi guys,

I just tried to open the pdf linked in this blog post:

http://prefetch.net/blog/index.php/2010/04/15/slides-from-my-centos-cluster-server-presentation/

However, it is rendered as blank pages.

Maybe an evince bug?

Thanks

I've confirmed that Okular on Lucid shows the PDF correctly (i.e. not blank). So this is most likely a bug with Evince and not Poppler.

I'm having a similar issue with a Mac/OSX generated PDF file. It will display in Okular and xpdf. Uploading to Scribd also displays the file correctly. Evince will not display the text. Images and formatting marks display correctly, but the text is not rendered at all.

Lucid 10.04
uname Linux 2.6.32-25-generic x86_64

Still only partially rendered with Ubuntu 10.10 RC.

Uname: Linux 2.6.35-22-generic i686
Packages:
    evince 2.32.0-0ubuntu1
    poppler 0.14.3-0ubuntu1

I have poppler-data installed.

Selecting all will temporarily show all the text in reverse video.
