Bug Description
Binary package hint: evince
There is problem with printing of a PDF document. The document pages do not get aligned like in Adobe Reader. Pages get aligned in a frustrating manner. After printout, we get 2nd page before each 1st page!
Also the print preview facility is ugly. The print preview should show all the pages and their alignment, and not the individual pages themselves. Within print preview, large size thumbnails of pages should be shown with their proper alignment as selected from the print dialog like if "Right to Left, Top to Bottom" was selected, then the print preview show show this alignment during preview.
The alignment options given in print dialog seems faulty or missing. If any "Page Ordering" option is selected, it shows pages in a vertical order like:
1 2 3
4 5 6
Question: What if I don't want my document pages printed horizontally?
I wanted my document pages printed vertically, like:
1 2
3 4
5 6
I have done this type of printing a lot via Adobe Reader, but using Evince, I was unable to print-out my pages in this order/alignment.

The previous print preview was a lot better than that in Lucid Lynx.
What it used to do was that it practically made a new pdf and opened it in another window that had all the toolbars and accessories of a normal evince window.
That was really great. Because when I wanted to print two pages on a single sheet of paper and then print every odd page of this set of double-pages, I could use the preview feature as an intermediary.
That's now impossible since the new preview allows no further options on printing.
