I updated evince:

nasko@serre:~$ dpkg -l | grep evince
ii evince 2.30.0-0ubuntu1 Document (postscript, pdf) viewer
ii python-evince 2.30.0-0ubuntu1 Python module for evince
nasko@serre:~$

Unfortunately, I cannot reproduce this bug readily. It typically occurs when latex updates a dvi file shown in evince. Of course, this happens only once about every 100 updates, typically when I have some eps figures included.
