Bug Description
Binary package hint: evince
1) Ubuntu 9.10, 2.6.31-15-generic
2) Evince 2.28.1
3) Expectations: to see better text smoothing when zooming 100% or less (when zoom is higher than 100% ~ 150% smoothing is 'goog')
4) In .pdf files text is smoothed 'bad', contour of letters are not clear
In addition (what I've almost done for better smoothing for the whole system):
- in the Appearance I've changed smoothing to 'full', subpixel order 'RGB';
- in the folder "etc/fonts/conf.d/ removed link-file 10-hinting-
Results: all the programms (Firefox, Terminal, Opera, and others) are "smoothed" perfect. However, the representing text in the Evince is not smoothed proper.
Adobe Reader smooth text better than Evince (by me, with my options for the system and default options for the AdobeReader)
