I reproduced this bug with an old version, but I don't find on which version.
When I try on Evince 2.28.1, now it see it is a rar file and that the package is not installed instead of crashing.
So I presume the bug is fixed.
Previously workaround was to install rar package.
For a newbe, it was not obvious to guess the crash were related to a missing package.

Need confirmation by Itlollo that my analysis is right (as I am unable to find on which cbr I confirmed the bug).

I encounter this, too. With *.cbr file, too.

It's weird that when I launched Evince with Valgrind, this error didn't occur. You can find the *.cbr files at http://www.mediafire.com/?yajbbb75oriro
