2008-09-04 20:30:10 Adam Buchbinder bug assigned to evince
2008-09-04 20:32:56 Adam Buchbinder description When I open a folder in nautilus contening a .dvi file, evince-thumbnailler start to make a thumbnail of it and show it in nautilus. At that moment, the CPU usage goes up to 100% and all the other programs I want to run are really really slow. When I stop evince-thumbnailler, every things go back to a normal state. When opening a DVI file with evince, if no TeX distribution is available, the error claims that the DVI file is at fault, rather than the installation. "Unable to open document", and below that, "DVI document has incorrect format". The DVI document, however, may be perfectly fine; the issue is that evince doesn't have DVI support installed. The error behavior should be changed to make this clear.
