Bug Description

Binary package hint: evince

This looks like it's a regression of #49340, but it could be a different bug. Given the example pdf on Jaunty, evince will zoom out to ridiculous levels (claiming it to be 50%) every time one clicks on the index.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open the provided pdf.
2. Arrange it so that the index is visible in the side pane (selecting it from the relevant drop-down box).
3. Click any of the items in the index.

The desired outcome is that it remains at the level of zoom. The observed outcome here is that evince zooms out enormously.

I don't know how many documents are affected by this. I'll try checking out some of the attached files in #49340

ProblemType: Bug
Architecture: amd64
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.04
ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/evince
NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia

ProcEnviron:
 PATH=(custom, user)
 LANG=en_GB.UTF-8
 SHELL=/bin/bash
SourcePackage: evince
Uname: Linux 2.6.28-11-generic x86_64

We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to review all reported bugs in a timely manner. This bug was reported a long time ago and there have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time.

Ubuntu 9.04 (jaunty) reached end-of-life on October 23, 2010.

Does anyone still see a problem related to the one that was reported when using a currently supported version of Ubuntu? Please let us know if you do otherwise this report can be left to expire in approximately 60 days time.

Thank you for helping make Ubuntu better.
