This file seems like a total mess:
- evince opens the file in question upside down
- ghostscript opens it rotated 90 degrees clockwise
- acroread and xpdf don't open it (unsupported file type)
- epdfview considers it encrypted and asks for the password
All this in latest jaunty

Here is the first page in kpdf.I just think it should look like this,I am not the author of the document.
If it helps,if I scroll on the document, kpdf writes out in the terminal:

adam@adam-laptop:~$ kpdf sched.ps
(it doesnt write out anything at the opening)
(scrolling...)
Error: Bad bounding box in Type 3 glyph
(and more "Error: Bad bounding box in Type 3 glyph" lines when scrolling. But not for any scroll.)

kpdf was replaced by okular, I tried it in jaunty and it too displays it upside-down

I've also just realized that scrolling through the document in evince creates segmentation faults...

that should be send upstream at bugzilla.gnome.org i'm not really sure if the document is broken or the app since more applications are behaving the same way, please forward it upstream, thanks.

At least it doesn't crash evince anymore in Karmic.
I can also confirm that Okular renders the file correctly...

Also, converting to pdf with ps2pdf and then opening with evince makes evince render it correctly...

Just thinking: both evince and okular use the poppler backend (with different frontends), how come one renders the file correctly and the other doesn't?

I've confirmed on Lucid that both Evince and Okular show sched.ps upside down. This most likely is a bug with poppler and will be marked as such.
