Bug Description

When updating packages using apt-get dist-upgrade I receive this message:

###
New kernel available

The currently running kernel version is 5.15.0-52-generic which is not the expected kernel version 5.15.0-53-generic.

Restarting the system to load the new kernel will not be handled automatically, so you should consider rebooting.
###

When I reboot using the version ....53-generic, the system will not boot.

I am using Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS (jammy)

I also am having issues with this and am currently stuck with an out of update machine and working with awesome canonical and sys76 support but still having trouble. Going to keep working on this my own with what I have at my disposal.
