Snap Evince can't open pdf files in USB drive

Bug Description

Steps to reproduce:

- Put a .pdf file in an external USB drive
- Double click on it or open it with Evince in any way

Evince starts but it can't show the document, giving the error:

Error opening file /media/username/Storage/file-name.pdf: Permission denied

Thanks for your bug report, indeed it doesn't use the removable-media interface

Hi, is there something I can do to avoid this?

The problem is still present in
evince 3.34.2+git4.91cbe4fe 290 stable ken-vandine

The issue is fixed in the beta channel now and will be in stable when 3.36 lands there
