Evince and other gnome applications do not have print enabled

Bug Description

Even though I have a printer setup, the print menu is disabled in evince.

Thank you for your bug report, are you sure the menu is inactive? it should always be active even if you don't have a printer since you can print to files then ... do you get the same issue in e.g gedit?

Yes I get the same issue in gedit too. Other applications like Chrome are able to print.

Many applications have print enabled like GIMP, chrome etc. But the printer option is disabled in evince.

if it's disabled in gedit as well it seems a gtk3 issue...

We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to review all reported bugs in a timely manner. You reported this bug some time ago and there have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time.

Ubuntu 13.04 (raring) reached end-of-life on January 27, 2014.

Do you still see a problem related to the one that you reported in a currently supported version of Ubuntu? Please let us know if you do and in which version of Ubuntu otherwise this report can be left to expire in approximately 60 days time.
